Maybelline Color Show : Red Siren, Orange Icon & True Toffee

It's raining and pouring really hard. Not too mention the sons of thunder! Scares me.

Anyway, how is you long weekend so far? It's Saturday, which means one more day left before back to Monday. I'm currently laying in bed, with tissues and blanket. No aircon, hoping that my cold will get better soon. Can't seem to swallow the food prepared in our house so I made guacamole. Easier to swallow.  Enough with my sorrow, let's get it on. Ps. Hope you have a better holiday. Kisses!

So as you may already know that two weeks ago I got invited by Maybelline New York Indonesia to their beauty blogger gathering.  It was fun. I get to hang around and catch up with other fellow beauty bloggers.

At the end of the event, each one of us received a box filled with Maybelline New York goodies. eyeliners, lipstick and nail polishes which colours we get to chose ourselves! I am going to do a review and swatch on all the products, but hold your horses today is just about the lipstick.  Here goes...

Red Siren

This is sexy warm red orange.
The texture is creamy and and it glides well on my lips.
The kind of red you can wear daily from day to night and will suit almost all skin tone

Orange Icon

This is actually a quite interesting colour.
Does not glide as well as Red Siren, and if you have chapped lips, you might want to exfoliate and use lip balm first.
This orange is actually more toward coral colours.
Perfect for the beach or gloomy days... at least for me :)

True Toffee

Surprisingly, this nude suits me very well. I'm warm by the way!
I need nudes that can tone down my smokey eyes but at the same time compliment my skin colour.
This is perfect.

Above all three, my favourite is Red Siren. Yes, I'm a big fan of reds but not just that. The texture of this lip colour is semi matte unlike the other two. My lip is chapped and I find that semi matte and matte suits me better and therefore lasts longer. My suggestion is that don't forget to exfoliate and hydrate your lips before wearing. And if you would like them to stay longer, you might want to add a base (concealer or foundation) so the colour will really pops and stays even longer.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick costs IDR 30K and available at most department stores and traditional cosmetic store.

Ok. Now I better shower and off to get some proper late lunch >.<

XO, Medina
